Today we will be exploring the connection that can be created with your body when you begin to move it.
It doesn’t matter how you move your body, only that you move it in a way that feels good for you and overall is good your physical and mental wellbeing.
There are many misconceptions out there that would have you believe that online structured training programs are going to benefit you. This is highly inaccurate.
In truth, a structured training program is just designed to give you a certain result. If that is the result you are looking for, that’s bonza. For others though it may seem like there are no other options.
Well my friends, get ready because in this episode I’m going to be sharing with you:
- The importance of knowing WHY you’re moving your body
- Obvious reasons people generally have when they begin to move.
- Some of the not so obvious, but still known reasons people choose to move or train.
- One of the best reasons I personally discovered for moving, that most folks (myself included) don’t know of when they begin to move more.
- What you can do to begin moving your body, that isn’t just with a training program.
- How moving your body will support your transition goals, if you are choosing to make physical changes as part of your transition.
What has moving my body given me? Connection
Building a connection with your body through movement has been the biggest motivator that I’ve discovered personally to keep moving.
Connecting with my body has helped me build so much self confidence and trust in myself and my abilities. As shocking as it may seem listening to me now, I used to lack a lot of confidence in myself and my abilities to do pretty much anything.
This was definitely not my goal when I began training. But it has been by far, one of the biggest and most mind blowing discoveries that I’ve had in regards to what physical activity has the power to do for someone.
Now, movement doesn’t need to be all structured. You can move however the plop you like if it helps you feel good.
Movement should be fun.
If it’s not enjoyable, why would you want to do it?
One thing movement and training should NEVER be is a chore, punishment for eating something or not moving the day/week/month before you decide to move again.
